Synopsis: Pastor John Weaver argues that political correctness is a religion of cultural Marxism designed to destroy Christianity, common sense, and Southern/American culture. He traces its origins to the Frankfurt School, explains its methods as psychological operations, and shows how it attacks culture (e.g., Confederate symbols), Christianity (e.g., gender pronouns, redefining marriage), and common sense (e.g., absurd policies). He concludes that America's decline is due to forsaking God, and Christians must resist political correctness by serving God alone.

Introduction: Political Correctness as a Religion and Psychological Operation

Political correctness is defined as a religion that forces conformity, destroys foundations, and operates as a psychological operation to change beliefs and behaviors.

force everyone to act and believe as it dictates and as it desires. It is reconstruction on the mental, emotional, and intellectual level. I'm going to say this later on. It is indeed a psychological operation designed to rid us of truth, honor, history, and heritage. Political correctness is a religion designed to destroy all other religions and then to hold each religion and each individual accountable to its own personal beliefs and pronouncements. Psalm 11:3, the Bible asks this question:

Scripture Reading — Psalm 11:3
"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

And we must understand that there are foundations that underlie every section and every area of life. And when those foundations are destroyed, we're like ships without any moorings. We're just simply cut loose and we're drifting into unknown and uncharted territories. Without a foundation, a house falls. And without biblical foundations, societies and individuals always fail and always fall as well.

I'm going to give you a number of quotes today. The first one is from what you and I would call, or a man by the name of George Orwell. He wrote 1984. He wrote Animal Farm and a few other things. If you've never read Animal Farm or 1984, I would encourage you to do so. But he wrote this in 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified. Every book rewritten. Every picture has been repainted. Every statue and street building has been renamed. Every date has been altered."

"And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the party is always right." Now just stop and think about that. And that's exactly what's going on today. Orwell went on to say this: "The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history." And that's exactly what has happened, especially in the last 200 years or so. Political correctness may aptly be called a religion of lies. It's nothing less than a psychological operation. Psychological operations, or PSYOPs as they're often called, are simply planned operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences in order to influence their emotion, in order to influence their motives, their objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of groups, organizations, and individuals. So political correctness is indeed designed to change our lives. I'm going to share this with you and show you how so just momentarily.

The Origins and Agenda of Political Correctness

Political correctness originated in the Frankfurt School in 1923 as a tool of cultural Marxism, with specific recommendations to undermine society, including promoting racism offenses, undermining schools, and encouraging family breakdown.

"Before the authorities impose their rigid formulas for shaping and defining a false reality, the ground needs to be prepared for molding public opinion. The details and narrative of mind control works best when people have already adopted an urbanity of collective singularity. The nature of totalitarian collectivism is the next level beyond political correctness." So how did it all start? Political correctness started in a think tank called the Frankfurt School in Germany in 1923. The purpose was to find a solution to the biggest problem facing the implementers of communism in Russia. Why wasn't the wonderful idea of communism spreading? Well, the Frankfurt School came up with a number of recommendations. And this is what they wanted to implement in order to promote, get everyone to embrace what I'm going to call cultural Marxism. I want you to listen carefully: number one, promote the creation of racism offenses; number two, continually change in order to create confusion; number three, the teaching of sex and homosexuality to children;

4. The undermining of schools and teachers' authority. 5. Huge immigration to destroy national identity. 6. The promotion of excessive drinking. 7. Emptying the churches. 8. An unreliable legal system with bias toward the victim, with a bias against the victim of the crime. And that's where we are judicially today. Number nine, dependency on the state for state benefits. Number 10, control and dumbing down of the media. And number 11, encouraging the breakdown of the family. Every one of those you can see left and right today on either hand and everywhere you turn.

Political Correctness as an Attack on Culture

Political correctness attacks Southern and American culture by vilifying Confederate symbols and history, which represent liberty and Christian heritage, and seeks to erase reminders of independence.

idols. We're serving the state as God is what it amounts to. Now I've got three points today that I want to cover. I want you to see before I finish how all of these things were interconnected, okay? First, political correctness is an attack upon culture. It is an attack upon culture. It is an attack upon Southern culture. It is also an attack upon American culture. I hope you've been paying attention to all the news that's been going on across Florida, Georgia, the South, across the nation, how the Confederate battle flag is being attacked, our monuments are being attacked. Anything that has to do with Southern history is being vilified by the liberal, leftist, progressive, Marxist, fascist, and communist agendas. That's all. Everything about the South, according to them, is evil, has been evil, is only evil, and will always be evil. Nothing can change.

Al Benson, he's an author and a commentator. And he wrote this little article, and I want to read it to you. He says this: "As you observe what the political and religious left is doing in regard to the Confederate flags and monuments, it would seem to be contradictory. They claim that vandalizing Confederate monuments and burning Confederate flags, or just outright stealing them, is what they're doing to promote unity and national healing." "They couldn't be that stupid if you paid them. If you really want to promote national healing, then the last thing you do is to tear down the symbols of your opposition's race and culture. If you really want to promote healing, you just leave those symbols alone. The fact that the left is vehemently trashing anything southern shows that they have no interest in reconciliation or healing. The left has never been about that."

"They have always been about destruction. The destruction of anyone or thing that they don't agree with or stands in their way. The real agenda is hatred and division, and what they really hate is resistance to their agenda. They're all about class struggle, and what that really means is their class overcoming your class, their ideology overcoming yours, their faith overcoming yours, particularly if you're a Christian. I pray that Southern folks, particularly Southern Christians, are beginning to get that message." "Those people called evil good and good evil, even in spite of some of the weak-kneed Christians who just want to be nice to everyone, the left needs to be resisted." And that's true.

Now, since there has been so much on the Confederate battle flag, I want to take just a few minutes and talk about that, if I could, please. When you start to read and to listen to individuals talk about the Confederate battle flag and or the Confederate symbols, the only conclusion that you can come up with is that most people are either motivated by historical ignorance or what I would call pure unadulterated malice toward the South and its symbols. It's just that simple. Now, the Confederate battle flag was exactly what I just called it. It was a battle flag. It was not a national flag. The South only had three national flags. The first national, which was known as the Stars and Bars. The second national, which was the Stainless Banner. And the third one was the Stainless Banner with a red stripe on the end of it. Those were the only three national flags that the Confederacy ever had. There's no animosity toward those. It's the Confederate battle flag. And might I point out that the battle flag was exactly what it is called.

It was a battle flag. What many people do not understand is there were hundreds of different battle flags in the South. Now, how in the world did the battle flag come into existence? It did not even come into existence until after July of 1861, after the Battle of First Manassas. General Beauregard was in charge in First Manassas. Lincoln had called for 75,000 volunteers to come down and subjugate the South. And so this is the first battle that's going on. And Beauregard is watching the battle and all of a sudden he sees a large body of troops that would be flanking the Union's left. But he can't tell what flag is there. He did not know what troops they were. He was looking through his glass and he could not make out the flag. So he called some of his younger officers up and handed them spyglass and said, "Would you please tell me, is that our flag or is that their flag?" And they couldn't tell. Finally, he took the spyglass back and he kept looking and kept looking.

You have to remember under battle conditions, all the smoke those muzzle loaders produced, and all the cannon smoke. All of a sudden, a little puff of wind came, and the flag unfurled, and he saw it was the Stars and Bars. And he hollered, "Attack, attack, the day is ours, the day is ours!" And when he saw Jubal Early and those men making that flank movement, he knew that the Confederates had won the battle. And sure enough, the Yankees threw down their arms, they threw down their carriages, they threw down everything and ran all the way back to Washington. You've got to remember back then, some of the congressmen, some of the high society folks had come out in their carriages with picnic baskets to watch the battle. And now they're all running back to Washington, D.C. as fast and as furiously as they can.

Now here is what General Beauregard wrote. He said, "At the Battle of Manassas, I found it difficult to distinguish our then-Confederate flag from the United States flag, the two being so much alike, especially when General Jubal Early made the flank movement that decided the fate of the day." So the Stars and Bars, the first national, resembled the Stars and Stripes. So Beauregard says, "I really couldn't tell the difference from the distance and under battle conditions." Then he went ahead and wrote, "I resolved to have our flag changed or to adopt for my command a battle flag which would be entirely different from any state or federal flag." Beauregard went ahead and said this after the war, or after the battle, it was found that many persons in both armies firmly believed that each side had used as a strategy the flags of his opponents. So the North thought the South was using the Stars and Stripes, and the South thought the North was using the Stars and Bars.

So anyhow, it was confusing. And so General Beauregard says, "I want a flag that's not going to be confused with any other flag." Well, Colonel Walton designed a flag with the Latin cross on it. Colonel William Porcher Miles, who was also a congressman, designed what we know as the Confederate battle flag with the St. Andrew's cross on it. And General Beauregard chose the St. Andrew's cross. Please understand that the Confederate battle flag only flew for four years from 1861 to 1865. The Confederate battle flag had nothing to do with slavery. There was not one slave that ever came into this country under any Confederate flag, much less a Confederate battle flag. Let me go ahead and point out that the South was not fighting to preserve slavery, nor was the North fighting to end slavery. Why was the South fighting?

The answer is very simple. Because Lincoln had called for 75,000 volunteers to come in and subjugate the South. The South did not invade the North. The North invaded the South. And so the South was basically fighting a defensive warfare. When some Confederate soldiers were captured, they were of course grilled. One of the questions asked the Confederate soldiers was simply this: "Why are you fighting?" And the most frequent answer given by the Confederate soldiers was this: "Because you're here." In other words, "If you weren't here, we wouldn't be fighting. You invaded us. If you had left us alone, we'd have left you alone." Now slaves were brought into this country under the flags of England and Portugal, Spain, and the good old United States flag, the Stars and Stripes. Never did a slave ship fly a Confederate flag or a flag of the South.

Many people do not understand that it was Great Britain who was responsible for exporting five million blacks from Africa and selling them into slavery all over this country. Not just in America, but all over the world. Five million. In fact, later on, the King of England opened it up, and you just simply paid him a royalty, you paid him a fee, and anybody could get into it. The first slaves came into this country, actually, in 1619. So, interestingly enough, once the war for independence was over, 1783, the only ships that brought slaves into this country were northern ships flying the Stars and Stripes. So the slaves did not come into this country under any Confederate flag whatsoever. They were brought in under the Stars and Stripes. Now, you have to understand this. During the war, slavery was legal. Even before the war, slavery was legal. Slavery was constitutional. The only thing the Constitution said was you could not import any more slaves after 1808.

However, that did not stop the North. They did continue to import slaves even after 1808. In fact, there was a yacht called the Wanderer that was caught off the coast of Georgia unloading slaves in 1858. And I can give you quotes from even Abraham Lincoln and James Buchanan who preceded Abraham Lincoln telling about the ships that were caught in 1860 and 1861 from the North flying the Stars and Stripes. You have to understand slavery was legal in every state. There were northern slaves. There were slaves in every state of the Union.

Now, let me just show you how slavery was not the cause of the war. I do not care what the revisionist historians say, slavery was not the cause of the war. Someone says, "Well, it had to be because Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation." Well, if you think the Emancipation Proclamation released any slaves, you haven't studied history. If you think the war was over slavery and the Emancipation Proclamation ended slavery, here's a couple of questions. Why did Lincoln wait until January 1, 1863 to make the Emancipation Proclamation effective? He wrote it September 22, 1862. If slavery was the issue, why did he not issue that Emancipation Proclamation in 1861? Or why did he not issue it at the time he was elected in 1860? Why did he wait until 1863? Let me tell you why the Emancipation Proclamation came into existence. Because it came in, according to Lincoln's own words, as a fit and necessary war measure. The Emancipation Proclamation never released a single slave, not in the North, not in the South. The Emancipation Proclamation was a war measure. The North, at this point in 1862, was losing the war. They were having a bad, bad time. Lincoln knew that a thousand torches and a thousand black hands would effectively empty the Confederate lines because the men would go home and protect their families and protect their properties. The very fact that a slave rebellion did not happen just demonstrates the bond that existed at that time between the blacks and the whites. But the Emancipation Proclamation did not free one slave.

Let me read something to you. I'm going to read just part of the Emancipation Proclamation. Here it is: "Whereas on the 22nd day of September, the year of our Lord, 1862, a proclamation was issued by the President of the United States containing, among other things, the following: that on the first day of January in the year of our Lord 1863"—now listen carefully—"all persons held as slaves within any state or designated part of a state, the people whereof shall be then in rebellion against the United States, shall be then, henceforth and forever free. And the executive government of the United States, including the military and naval authority thereof, will recognize and maintain the freedom of such persons." Notice if you would, it only freed the slaves in the South or any state or any part of a state which was in rebellion to the federal government.

Now let me skip down. Listen to this. "Now therefore, I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, by virtue of the power vested in me as Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, in time of actual armed rebellion against the authority and government of the United States, and as a fit and necessary war measure for suppressing said rebellion, doing this first day of January, the year of our Lord," etc. And then he goes down and names the places and areas where the slaves are to be freed. They were only freed in the southern states where Abraham Lincoln had absolutely no authority and no right to free them. The slaves that were in the northern states and the slaves that were in southern states that had been conquered by the northern army, they were left exactly as they were. So, Lincoln tried to free the slaves where he had no authority. And where he did have authority, he refused to free them. So, Lincoln then issued this Emancipation Proclamation as a fit and necessary war measure. He did not issue it just simply to free the slaves.

Now, let me just point out the fact. The war was not over slavery. I know you're taught that. I know the politically correct crowd states that that was the way it was, but it is not. If the war had been over slavery, there would have never been a war. There would have never been a war. How can I say that? Because of the Corwin Amendment. Thomas Corwin from Ohio proposed an amendment, which was passed by both houses, by the way. And then it was also called the proposed 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution. Here is what that amendment says. Listen carefully. "No amendment shall be made to the Constitution which will authorize or give to Congress the power to abolish or interfere within any state with the domestic institutions thereof, including that of persons held to labor or service by the laws of said state." Wow! Here is the current amendment that passed both houses on March the 2nd, 1861. And all it says is Congress shall never have any power to interfere with the domestic institutions within any state.

I hope you notice that date, March the 2nd, 1861. At that time, there were only seven seceded southern states, the cotton states. And so Washington wants the southern seceded states to come back in. And so they pass this amendment. Well, it passed the resolution. It was to be the proposed amendment. And the reason I say it was not over slavery, this was passed March the 2nd, 1861. If I'm not mistaken, Fort Sumter was not fired upon until April the 12th, 1861.

So here is over a month. So if you're going to tell me it was over slavery, why in the world would you fight over something that's being handed to you on a silver platter? Congress said, "Hey, we'll make it permanent. You can have them if you would just come back into the Union."

Now, Lincoln, although he was elected in 1860, gave his first inaugural address, and he referred to the Corwin Amendment, although not by name. Here's what he said, and I'm quoting: "I understand a proposed amendment to the Constitution, which amendment, however, I have not seen, has passed Congress to the effect that the federal government shall never interfere with the domestic institution of the states, including that of persons held of service." So he's talking about slaves. "To avoid misconstruction of what I have said, I depart from my purpose not to speak of particular amendments so far as to say that holding such a provision to now be implied constitutional law, listen, I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable." What did Lincoln just get out of his mouth? He said, "We can make permanent slavery express and irrevocable. It can never change. You want the slaves? You can have them." Slavery was not the issue. It became an issue, but it was not the issue originally. General John B. Gordon from Georgia said this, this is after the war, he said, "But slavery was far from being the sole cause of the prolonged conflict.

Neither its destruction on the one hand, nor its defense on the other, was the energizing force that held the contending armies to four years of bloody work. I apprehend that if all living Union soldiers were summoned to the witness stand, every one of them would testify that it was for the preservation of the American Union and not the destruction of Southern slavery that induced him to volunteer at the call of his country. As for the South, it is enough to say that perhaps 80 percent of our armies were neither slaveholders nor had the remotest interest in the institution. Nor the proof, however, is needed than the undeniable fact that in any period of the war, from its beginning to near its close, the South could have saved slavery by simply laying down its arms and returning to the Union." So General Gordon said, if the South was fighting for slavery, all they had to do was quit fighting and they'd have it.

They wouldn't even have to be gun fighting because it was offered to them express and irrevocably. It's just that simple. Well, General Gordon's assessment is actually correct. In fact, the truth of the matter is this. There was a unanimous resolution that was passed by Congress, July the 23rd, 1861. Listen to what the Congress said. This is right after Fort Sumter. And I'm quoting. Here's the unanimous resolution.

"The war is waged by the government of the United States, not in the spirit of conquest or subjugation, nor for the purpose of overthrowing or interfering with the rights of institutions of the states, but to defend and protect the Union." So even Congress said, "We're not fighting to let the slaves go. We're not even fighting over slavery." Congress said that. The London Spectator, everyone knew about the hypocrisy of the North. But the London Spectator in 1862 wrote this: "The Union government liberates the enemy slaves as it would the enemy's cattle. Simply to weaken them in the conflict. The principle is not that a human being cannot justly own another, but that he cannot own him unless he's loyal to the United States." And that was an English paper. Charles Dickens, whom you know was author of A Christmas Carol, etc. Charles Dickens said this: "The northern onslaught upon slavery was no more than a piece of spacious humbug designed to conceal its desire for economic control of the southern states." So you're going to have to ask yourself, if political correctness is an attack upon culture, how in the world is it attacking Southern culture today?

Well, we're vilified for having slaves that the North imported and sold to us. We're vilified for fighting for states' rights and self-defense and the Constitution as it was given to us by our forefathers. We're vilified for being independent, self-sufficient, and self-governing. We're vilified for standing against centralization of government, bureaucracy, and tyrants. Therefore, any of our monuments, any of our symbols, any of our flags that remind us of liberty and freedom and principle have to be destroyed and have to be assailed by the politically correct crowd. And so you're going to ask, why? Well, here's why. If these symbols are left standing, if they're left alone, we in the South might begin to say, "Hmm, I wonder what that flag means. I wonder why we have this monument here. I wonder what this symbol represents." Well, oh, you mean to tell me there used to be liberty and freedom in this country? Why, I think I might like to be free again. I might like a little liberty. You mean the states used to be independent? You mean the federal government was created to be the servant of the states and not the states the servant of the federal government? Why? I'd like to get rid of all this regulation and bureaucracy and tyranny. Yeah, if they're left standing we might begin to think we might want a little more liberty and freedom in this country. Let me tell you the St. Andrew's Cross and the Confederate flag very quickly. If you want to know what the flag actually represents, here it is. The red field represents the blood of Christ.

The white border represents the protection of God. The blue X represents the Christian cross of St. Andrew, the first disciple of Jesus Christ and the patron saint of Scotland. The 13 stars represent the 13 seceded southern states. Thus the message in the Confederate battle flag is this: through the blood of Christ, with the protection of God, we the 13 states are united in our Christian fight for liberty and independence. That's enough to bring forth the hatred of the politically correct crowd. That's why the Confederate battle flag is hated and despised. It is an attack upon our culture.

Political Correctness as an Attack on Christianity

Political correctness opposes Christianity by promoting gender-inclusive pronouns, redefining marriage, and silencing biblical denunciation of sin, aiming to reduce Christianity to equality with other religions.

Secondly, political correctness is an attack upon Christianity. Christianity and culture go hand in hand. You cannot attack one without attacking the other. Why? Because culture is nothing more than religion externalized. Culture is the application of our faith. Culture is what we are. You cannot change a culture without changing one's theology. Ah! This is why it is an attack upon Christianity. You have to understand all of the speech today that is being classified as hate speech. Political correctness is not just simply being aimed at free speech. It is also being directed at biblical speech. It's designed to stifle biblical denunciation of sin, wickedness, and rebellion. It's designed to make all religions equal. It wants to bring Christianity down on a plane with Islam and Shintoism and Buddhism. No, Christianity is not above them. We're all equal. Moreover, any condemnation of sodomy, bestiality, adultery, fornication will be viewed as hate speech. Why?

I hope you read this last week because the government now, the federal government, is talking about sexual rights. The federal government has said it will speak of sexual rights. What does that mean? Well, let's see. Does a person now have a sexual right to engage in bestiality? According to the government, yes. Does a person have a sexual right to be a pedophile? According to the federal government, yes. And by the way, I hope some of you saw the article that one pedophile wrote just asking for understanding because that's the way he was. Is there a sexual right to be a transgender? Where did sexual rights originate? Who gave them?

Let me tell you something. No one has the right to sin against God. There is no such thing as sexual rights outside of marriage. And the Word of God delineates those duties and those rights in 1 Corinthians chapter 7. So outside of marriage, there are no sexual rights. Do you realize that Obama has already declared that America is not a Christian nation? Well, it was, but thanks to him, he has stirred it far more into a pagan culture than a Christian culture.

What has happened in our country? How has our Christianity been attacked? Well, we once had statesmen. And now we have politicians. We once had men of honor and integrity, men that stood for truth and righteousness, and now we have men that stand for party loyalty and put party loyalty above any and everything else. We once had men who sacrificed for this country, and now we have men that are bent on plundering it for political gain and personal gratification. We once had public servants. Now we have public masters.

I'm not a country music fan, but I have watched Charlie Daniels on occasion. He is the country music star that wrote the song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." He did, and I'm in, but he wrote a letter. I won't read you this letter now. Charlie Daniels is, I've been told, a Christian, whether he is or not, I don't know, but one thing I do know, he doesn't pull any punches in his writing. He wrote a lengthy rant blasting Congress as "a breed of milksop, politically correct, scared of their own shadow, pushover, pathetic excuses for public servants." All, we hadn't even got started. He says to Congress, "You don't even have the courage to face down an out-of-control president, even when he makes a deal with the devil." "Don't you bunch of timid capons even care what kind of world you're leaving to your children and your grandchildren, not even to mention the rest of us? Are you really party partisans before your parents and grandparents or even human beings? You've allowed Obama to tilt the Supreme Court so far to the left that they're little more than a shameful extension of the executive branch. You've talked for decades about the porous southern border, but have done absolutely nothing about it. You have allowed cities in this nation to declare themselves sanctuary cities where they protect the worst of the worst criminal aliens."

"American citizens are paying the price for your silence. You watch an impossible national debt balloon completely out of control, knowing full well that a day of reckoning is coming that will seriously curtail the quality of life for coming generations. You allow corrupt government agencies like the IRS to run over the very people you are sworn to protect, and allow the entitlement society to expand exponentially while you actually entertain the idea of raising taxes on those who still work and shoulder the burden." "I wish you bunch of sold out, jaded, burned out hacks would just go home and let some people who still have some vision and whose consciences haven't been seared past the point of reminding them when they're wrong take over and start to claw this nation back to the path of sanity. Your ratings are in the single digits. Your morals are in the gutter. Your minds are on self-preservation."

"And somewhere along the way, you've traded your honor for political expediency. You've violated your oaths. You've betrayed your country. You've feathered your nest. And you've sat on your hands while an imperial president has rubbed your noses in the dirt time after time. You're no longer men. You're puppets. You're caricatures. Jokes. A gaggle of fainting prostitutes for sale to anybody who can do you a political favor." Woo! Did he nail it? He nailed it. Wow. If I had the time today, I could take you through the Bible and show you how the Bible demands character and courage and that you keep your oaths and your vows. But obviously, this man knew exactly what he was talking about. Political correctness is indeed against Christianity, not just against our culture.

Let me give you another example. The University of Tennessee, August the 28th, 2015, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is advocating revamping the English language in order to be more inclusive. You must now refer to them as "her," "zur," and "zim." What am I talking about? Listen carefully. "Call me zee, not he." University wants everyone to use gender-inclusive pronouns. Educators in the volunteer state are very concerned that students might be offended by the usage of traditional pronouns like "she" and "he" and "him" and "hers" according to a document from the University of Tennessee Knoxville's Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

So, it is offensive to some of these people to say "Lorraine she" or "Gary he." What? You say, how is this an attack upon Christianity? It's not just an attack upon the English language. Listen carefully. I want to read Genesis 1:26-27. Listen. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them." Now Genesis 2:21-24, listen to this: "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept.

And he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Now note if you would, God created them male and female. He referred to Adam as "he" and "him" and he referred to the woman as "her" and "she." So here's my question: Are you ashamed that God created you? Are you ashamed that God created you either a man or a woman? If you're not ashamed, why in the world would you want to use gender-inclusive pronouns? Why would I have to say "Stephen zee" instead of "Stephen he"? Or "Lorraine zur"? Or "Stephen Lorraine zim"?

I mean, that's absolutely stupid. It's not only stupid, it is an attack upon Christianity. Wow. If gender-inclusive pronouns are not enough, how about this one? France bans mother and father. If the law goes through, the civil code will use the more abstract cover-all, cover-anything term "parents." France's Justice Minister, Christiane Taubira, just when you thought things couldn't get any stranger, at least to give a glimpse of how strange they will soon become for us, France has decided to ban the words "mother" and "father" in regard to the civil legal treatment of marriage. The European country's proposed new law declares that marriage is a union of two people of different or the same gender. And the reason given by Christiane Taubira, France's Justice Minister, and here's her question: "Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring a child up better than a homosexual couple?

That they will guarantee the best conditions for the child's development?" She then reassured critics of the proposed law. "What is certain is that the interest of the child is a major preoccupation for the government. If the law goes through, then all references to mother and father will be erased from the civil code and replaced with the more abstract cover-all, cover-anything term 'parents.'" Wow. So she asked a legitimate question: "Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring a child up better than a homosexual couple?" Who is to say? Well, I've got an answer. God is to say. He said, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh." God ordained marriage. God set up the institution. And God said marriage is between one man and one woman. It's not between two men. It's not between two women. It's not between three or four men and three or four women. No, marriage has been ordained by God. God is the one who has the final say. Anything else other than one man and one woman is a perversion, it's sin, it's rebellion.

So thank you for asking that question, Justice Minister. God has the say. France is evidently still reaping the seeds that were sown during the French Revolution of 1789. Let me read to you what one author said, listen to this: "The French Revolution descends into a reign of terror, and freedom lies stillborn under the shadow of the guillotine. The reign of terror came from a secular revolution without viable godly leadership. This, in turn, came from an earlier history, the crushing of the Reformation in France. And this was primarily a result of the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre 200 years earlier." The St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre was where they massacred literally hundreds and thousands of French Huguenots, Protestants, who were protesting the Roman Catholic Church. They murdered them. The Edict of Nantes, I believe it was, it gave them their liberty and freedom. That was revoked and they were just simply murdered. The French Revolution set about the de-Christianization of France. They even changed the days of the week. They even changed the names of months. They changed anything that would reflect Christianity. Here are some of the things that they did in the French Revolution.

They confiscated all the church lands and used it as backing for their new currency. They destroyed statues and plates and iconographies—I can't even say it now—places of worship, destruction of crosses, bells, and other external signs of worship. They instituted civic cults including the cult of reason and subsequently the cult of the Supreme Being. The enactment of the law on October 21, 1793 made all non-juring priests and all persons who harbored them liable to death on sight. Let me tell you what a non-juring priest was. A non-juring priest or a non-juring preacher was someone who would not take an oath to support the new civil government. And so they were declared to be worthy of death on sight. The climax of the de-Christianization came with the celebration of the Goddess of Reason in the Notre Dame Cathedral in November of 1793. And who did they put up for the Goddess of Reason? A prostitute.

Now the question has to be asked, are we headed in the same direction? Will Christianity be outlawed and called illegitimate? Well here's the thing, if the politically correct crowd have their way the answer is yes. Because political correctness is a religion, it's against Christianity. It cannot succeed, and it must be resisted. It cannot overcome. It must be resisted. It's just that simple. Political correctness is an attack upon our culture. It is an attack upon Christianity. Thirdly, political correctness is an attack upon common sense.

Political Correctness as an Attack on Common Sense

Political correctness leads to absurdities like refusing to identify a suspect's race, punishing children for toy guns, and blaming climate change for war, reflecting a loss of common sense due to forsaking God.

I hate to say this, but the powers that be and the elite think that you are the dumbest and the stupidest people that ever lived. They really do. They believe that we will never figure anything out. Here's an article written by Paul Joseph Watson. Many of you remember when Deputy Darren Goforth was brutally murdered there at the gas station in Texas. Here's what he wrote. Listen.

"At around 8:30 p.m. last night, Deputy Darren Goforth was pumping gas into his vehicle in full uniform before he was approached by a man who shot him from behind multiple times. Police described the suspect as a dark complexion male who is believed to be between 20 and 25 years old and stands about 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall. Surveillance footage of the suspect clearly shows that he is black." "Are we at a point now in America where it is politically incorrect to identify the race of wanted murderers? If the killer was white, would the Associated Press describe him as a light complexion male? The murder took place just days after a group of black radicals called for lynching whites and killing cops." Wow. Why can't we say black? Pink, purple, white, red. What is offensive about calling a black man black? What's offensive about calling a white man white? You can't change that. Was he black? Yes, he was black. Why not just say it? I'm just saying, folks, we have lost all common sense. Here's another one.

WLTX News reports that a six-year-old kindergartner brought a small, transparent plastic toy gun to school for a show and tell, causing her teachers to completely freak out. Naomi McKinney, a kindergarten student, is such a threat that she's not allowed at all on school grounds, her parents say. A six-year-old South Carolina girl who brought her brother's clear plastic toy gun to class got more than a warning. She got kicked out of school. The Sumter County School District says it has a zero-tolerance policy against guns in schools and would require the Board of Trustees to review the case if she's to return. What? Do you remember the kid that got disciplined for eating a Pop-Tart and biting it and making it into the form of a gun? Did you read just this past week where one school went into lockdown because a student said "gum," not "gun," G-U-M, like chewing gum, and the school went into lockdown? We have lost all form of common sense. Listen to this. It gets worse.

Obama's war on self-reliance and cheap energy is now aiming at your wood-burning stove. Obama and the EPA want to ban wood-burning stoves. I suppose that next they will ban fireplaces, outdoor fire pits, and barbecues, and forest fires. Wood burning stoves have been around since their invention. They're what poor folks use. I've used them and would still use them. And yet, Obama wants to do away with wood cook stoves and wood burning stoves.

Let me just tell you how stupid the power elite really think we are. You know, this would really be funny if it was not just so absolutely insane. Did you know that your Secretary of State John Kerry said that it is our duty, our biblical duty, to save Muslims from global warming? Here are his exact words. Listen, I'm quoting. "Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face. And you can see this duty or responsibility laid down in the scriptures, clearly beginning in Genesis.

And Muslim-majority countries are among the most vulnerable. Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth. As for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God." Really? Unhappily, John Kerry did not provide scriptures that say it's our duty to protect the Muslims or our duty to fight global warming, nor did he even provide a scripture that said global warming was a sin. Where in the world has common sense gone? If I were to ask you, if people are starving to death in Africa, what would you say? Yes, it's a third world country. We send food over there all the time. Really? Well, did you know the Secretary of State John Kerry advised them not to begin any new farms? Even though they're starving. And he said, creating new farms contributed to climate change. Here are his words. I'm quoting.

"Certain agricultural processes can actually release carbon pollution and actually contribute to the problem in the first place. It's a twisted cycle, always complicated. But we also know that there are ways to change that. For example, rather than convert natural areas to new farmland, a process that typically releases significant amounts of carbon pollution, we can instead concentrate our efforts on making existing farmlands more productive." Well, wonderful, let's make farmlands more productive. Well, what about those people who don't even have farmlands to make productive? So what he's saying is you don't start new farms in Africa, you just go ahead and starve because starting new farms gives carbon pollution and we don't need any more carbon pollution. Now folks, I would tell you that would be absolutely hilarious if it was not so stupid. And if you don't think climate change is serious, according to the politically correct crowd, according to one general, climate change was the cause of the Syrian war. I'm quoting. General Wesley Clark, in a discussion on the broadcast of HBO's Real Time on Friday, October 31, 2014, placed part of the blame for the Civil War on climate change.

After host Bill Maher quoted a report from the Department of Defense saying that climate change threatens national security, Clark said, "It's what was behind a lot of the violence in Syria. It's happening in East Africa. It's happening in West Africa. Right now, he urged the United States to take real action. We need a carbon tax." He added that climate change believers were winning and that climate change impacts the neediest the most. Wow. You know, I just wondered why I felt so mean during July and August. Maybe it's because of all the heat we have down here. Maybe that's it. I don't know. Can you imagine someone being so stupid as to say that climate is the cause of the war because it's hot? Well, it's been hot there ever since God created it. Look where it is, close to the equator. Come on.

The same General Wesley Clark has called for internment camps for disloyal Americans. General Wesley Clark was also a Democratic presidential candidate at one time. Now, when you talk about disloyal Americans, what are you talking about? Are you talking about Americans that are disloyal to the Constitution, disloyal to their history, disloyal to their heritage? Oh, no, no, no, no. He's talking about Americans that are disloyal to the government, to the status quo. And so he's calling for internment camps.

The Manipulative Nature of Political Correctness

Political correctness is a tool for centralizing power through mass manipulation and nudging, as described by former intelligence analyst Stella Morabito, aiming to capture cultural institutions for ideological gain.

Now, if you're wondering why there is no common sense in Washington, D.C. among the politically correct crowd, I want you to consider this. I want you to remember what I said at the beginning of this message. Political correctness is a religion. It is cultural Marxism. Listen. Here's the headline: "Former Intelligence Analyst: Political correctness is a manipulative tool for centralizing power." A former intelligence analyst, Stella Morabito, who grew up in a left-wing family and calls herself a realist, is speaking out about mass manipulation, political correctness, and the transgender agenda. Her writings at the Federalist got the attention of Rush Limbaugh back in June when he seemed fascinated by her piece on mass delusion. In this exclusive video interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, she details how the left uses mass manipulation techniques to confuse Americans and grab power. She condemns conservatives for not even realizing the behavior modification techniques being employed in the political square, such as those encouraged by liberals such as Cass Sunstein who wrote the book Nudge or George Lakoff. Now let me just stop there. She's talking about Cass Sunstein who wrote the book Nudge. Do you know what he is saying in that book? You know, I could come up to Gary and I could put my hands on his back and just thrust him forward, that would be called pushing him. And if I pushed him hard enough, he might get up or turn around and slap the living daylights out of me because that was a hard push. But you know, if I come up and just kind of nudge him just a little, he won't get angry, he won't get mad.

But you know, if I kept nudging him and kept nudging him and kept nudging him, I could get him as far as where I would have by pushing him to begin with. So here's what they're doing. This philosophy of nudging. They're there. They're either have changed in some states, are going to change it. If you go to get your driver's license, you want to be an organ donor you have to say so. Now what they're going to do is they're going to nudge you. They're going to make it mandatory that you be an organ donor unless you opt out. So, there's that little nudge. They'll just keep nudging you in one direction and one direction until you're as far as if you had been pushed. I've got one more paragraph for her.

She says, and I'm quoting now, she's talking about political correctness, she's talking about mass manipulation. "It was the project of cultural Marxists to capture the mediating institutions in our culture for ideological gain. The media, Hollywood, pop culture, academia, and more." Now listen, if you push an agenda to centralize power, you need mass ignorance and effective propaganda. What is political correctness? It is cultural Marxism. It is the religion of Marx. It is destroying the Christian religion and Christian America. I hope you've read where even some climate change scientists are now recommending prison for those who deny climate change. Not just internment camps, but prison. So let me ask this question: How have we gotten in the mess that we're in? Why is it there's no common sense in this country? And here's the

Conclusion: The Need to Resist and Return to God

America's mess is due to forsaking God and His law; Christians must resist political correctness, acknowledge God's sovereignty, and serve Him alone.

answer: Because we've forsaken God and His law. We've turned our backs upon Him. And He's turned His back upon us. I want you to listen. In Hosea 13:9, God says this:

Scripture Reading — Hosea 13:9
"O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself."

He said in Hosea 5:6, listen carefully now: "They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord, but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them." So there comes a time when God will not be found when He withdraws Himself. And then He said in Deuteronomy 32:29, "O that they were wise, that they understood this, and that they would consider their latter end!"

Now I want you to stop and think with me just for a moment. God said, "O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself." God said, "They shall seek me, but they shall not find me. I've withdrawn myself from them." You know, we sit back and we say, "Wow, what if Putin and all the Russians come over and invade us? What if there's a war with China? What about North Korea?" Let me tell you something. God does not have to send the Russians or the Chinese or the North Koreans over here to destroy us. All God has to do is leave us to ourselves. Leave us alone. We'll destroy ourselves. We can do a mighty good job of that just on our own. That's what we've done. That is exactly where we are and what we're doing. You have to understand political correctness is a religion. It is a humanistic, statist religion that denies the Lord Jesus Christ the authority and the veracity of the Word of God. It denies God's law. And the reason it denies God's law is so it can establish its own law. We need to come to the realization we are not politically correct as Christians. We will never be politically correct and we have to understand that the politically correct crowd will fight us tooth and nail and seek to destroy us because that is the only way that they can prevail. We have to deny that and denounce political correctness. But we have to confess and acknowledge that there is one true and living God who has revealed Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word is true and we bow to Him and we serve Him and we follow Him and Him alone.

We do not worship the state. We worship God, our Creator, our Savior and our Redeemer. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for your grace and your mercy. We pray that you would teach us. Lord, help us to see where we are in this country, what we're facing, Lord. We're so naive at times, and we're so busy just trying to live, Lord, we don't ever really consider these things. But help us to know, O Lord, that thou art God, and that we are thy people and we are going to serve and worship thee and thee alone. Give us grace that we may serve thee acceptably with reverence and godly fear. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask and pray. Amen.

Study Guide

Major Themes

Political Correctness as a Religion

Summary: Political correctness is a religion that defines right and wrong, pronounces evil good, and demands conformity, ultimately seeking to destroy all other religions.

Evidence: Weaver states: 'Political correctness is a religion designed to destroy all other religions and then to hold each religion and each individual accountable to its own personal beliefs and pronouncements.'

Cultural Marxism and the Frankfurt School

Summary: Political correctness originated from the Frankfurt School in 1923 as a strategy to implement cultural Marxism, with specific tactics to undermine Western society.

Evidence: Weaver lists the Frankfurt School's recommendations: 'promote the creation of racism offenses; continually change in order to create confusion; the teaching of sex and homosexuality to children...'

Attack on Southern and American Culture

Summary: Political correctness attacks Confederate symbols and Southern heritage to erase reminders of liberty and independence, which are rooted in Christian principles.

Evidence: Weaver explains the Confederate battle flag's meaning: 'through the blood of Christ, with the protection of God, we the 13 states are united in our Christian fight for liberty and independence.'

Attack on Christianity

Summary: Political correctness seeks to silence biblical truth, promote gender confusion, and redefine marriage, directly opposing God's created order.

Evidence: Weaver cites Genesis 1:26-27 and argues that gender-inclusive pronouns are an attack on Christianity because God created male and female.

Loss of Common Sense

Summary: Political correctness leads to irrational policies and statements, such as refusing to identify a suspect's race or blaming climate change for war, reflecting a society that has abandoned God.

Evidence: Weaver gives examples: a six-year-old expelled for a toy gun, John Kerry's claim that fighting climate change is a biblical duty to save Muslims.

Manipulation and Centralization of Power

Summary: Political correctness is a tool for mass manipulation and centralizing power, using techniques like 'nudging' to gradually change behavior without overt force.

Evidence: Weaver quotes Stella Morabito: 'It was the project of cultural Marxists to capture the mediating institutions in our culture for ideological gain.'

Judgment for Forsaking God

Summary: America's decline is a result of turning away from God, who has withdrawn His presence, leaving the nation to destroy itself.

Evidence: Weaver quotes Hosea 13:9: 'O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself' and Hosea 5:6: 'he hath withdrawn himself from them.'

Call to Resist and Serve God Alone

Summary: Christians must resist political correctness, acknowledge God's authority, and worship Him rather than the state.

Evidence: Weaver concludes: 'We do not worship the state. We worship God, our Creator, our Savior and our Redeemer.'

Key Arguments

Political correctness is a religion that redefines morality.

Summary: Political correctness pronounces evil good and good evil, as condemned in Isaiah 5:20, and is a religion because it determines right and wrong.

Evidence: Weaver says: 'Political correctness is a religion that pronounces fornication, sodomy, adultery, aborticide, and compromise with evil as something that is good, right, necessary, and legal.'

Political correctness is a psychological operation.

Summary: It is a planned operation to influence emotions, motives, reasoning, and behavior, aiming to change lives and bring conformity.

Evidence: Weaver defines PSYOPs: 'planned operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences in order to influence their emotion... and ultimately the behavior of groups, organizations, and individuals.'

The Frankfurt School agenda is being implemented today.

Summary: The 11 recommendations from the Frankfurt School, such as promoting racism offenses and undermining family, are evident in modern society.

Evidence: Weaver lists the recommendations and says: 'Every one of those you can see left and right today on either hand and everywhere you turn.'

The Civil War was not primarily about slavery.

Summary: Slavery was legal and constitutional; the Corwin Amendment would have protected it permanently. The South fought for self-defense and states' rights.

Evidence: Weaver cites the Corwin Amendment and Lincoln's support: 'I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable.'

Confederate symbols represent Christian liberty, not racism.

Summary: The Confederate battle flag's design symbolizes the blood of Christ, God's protection, and the Christian fight for liberty, which is why it is attacked.

Evidence: Weaver explains: 'The red field represents the blood of Christ. The white border represents the protection of God. The blue X represents the Christian cross of St. Andrew.'

Gender-inclusive pronouns attack God's created order.

Summary: Using pronouns like 'zee' instead of 'he' or 'she' contradicts Genesis, where God created male and female and used gender-specific pronouns.

Evidence: Weaver reads Genesis 1:26-27 and 2:21-24, then asks: 'Are you ashamed that God created you either a man or a woman?'

Redefining marriage undermines God's institution.

Summary: France's move to ban 'mother' and 'father' and redefine marriage contradicts God's design of marriage as between one man and one woman.

Evidence: Weaver responds to the French Justice Minister: 'God is to say. He said, Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife.'

America's decline is self-inflicted due to forsaking God.

Summary: God does not need external enemies to destroy America; He simply withdraws, and the nation destroys itself through its own folly.

Evidence: Weaver says: 'All God has to do is leave us to ourselves. Leave us alone. We'll destroy ourselves.'
